"Bang Bang You're Dead" is a resource for dealing with a broken world that's violent, unhealthy, unfair, and beyond the power of anyone to fix except today's generation. The play is a free gift for students to perform in schools, garages, street corners, parks, houses of worship -- anyplace there can be communication and discovery about how we've made the world's violence our own. And how we can change it. It's about a theater of life. The play requires a minimum of 11 actors, little in the way of production values, and runs 40 minutes. You can download the play and perform it for FREE by following the license agreement and instructions on the DOWNLOADS page. When you schedule a performance, please add it to the PERFORMANCE CALENDAR.

I'm a guy from Nebraska...raised in Kenesaw, living in Lincoln. Got a degree in advertising from the University of Nebraska because it was the sensible thing to do. If you ever need to know anything about advertising, don't ask me. I don't remember any of it. Years went by, blah, blah, blah...Finally I got into acting, and after a few years of that, suddenly realized that I could combine that with my love of writing and write plays. (alright, so I'm a little slow).

Since then he has moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota. This site has quite a collection of original material.

It is often said that while classical texts in any language always remain the same, new translations are needed every few generations, a fact that can be seen by the ever increasing number of translations of the Bible, or Dante's Divine Comedy. The same principle holds true of the texts of Noh, and the inclusion here of multiple translations of the same play is of the greatest use, not only to help explicate the meaning of any particular passage, but to show the variety of styles in which translators have attempted to secure their particular sense of the beauty of each play. More than a dozen scripts!

Medieval English Drama: Modernized Performance Texts
These texts of The Castle of Perseverance and the N-Town Plays were modernized for performance by the Poculi Ludique Societas of the University of Toronto. They are offered here as both performance and teaching texts in the hope that they will allow more people to come to know and love the lively world of the late medieval English theatre.

He writes with a ready feel for the synthesis of all these elements. I like what I've read because his plays aren't overwritten and they employ an approach to theatre which is very inspiring. When we talk about "performing with mask and puppets" it's difficult to give that form of theatre a name. (Maybe we should hold a competition!) At least with Spence Porter that "form" has recruited a mainstage playwright of the first order -- one who writes contemporary plays and who is not caught up in reprising old techniques

An Online Repository of Works Printed in English Between the Years 1477 and 1799. More scripts, novels, stories and more than you could ever manage to negotiate. Every major author from the era is represented. Early Modern texts published by Renascence Editions are not peer reviewed in the strict sense. While we have done our best to ensure "accuracy" in both the editions and any supplementary matter, we do not represent these texts as scholarly editions per se. Please consider them as non-critical teaching editions which pay an uneven but enthusiastic homage to the type facsimile edition and the diplomatic transcript, suitable for the general reader, for high school and undergraduate teaching, and for casual text searches to aid in the work of graduates and scholars. Graduate students and scholars who base their research on any of these texts may find their work questioned in the academic community, and rightly so. Go to the editions specified by the best authorities in the field for such work.
